Airframe Ultra Beta Tier Lists
Airframes and weapons ranked for current betas — not the launch patch.
Airframe Ultra is still in public betas while the full game is coming soon. A free demo can be downloaded on Steam. Rankings here describe current beta play, not a frozen launch meta. Videocult will keep changing handling, weapon spawns, and track mix. Recheck after each weekend build on updates.
Online PvP, online co-op, and local split-screen all share the same four airframes and the same four equipment slots: one melee, one ranged, one throwable, and one special. A kit that wins a couch match still has to survive a public lobby, so we rank for mixed race-plus-arena circuits.
How we rank
- Consistency across mixed circuits (most beta weekends).
- Skill floor versus ceiling. A bike that explodes when you miss a boost is not S-tier for most riders.
- Pickup economy. Coolant and guns decide more fights than raw gear-8 speed.
- Map type. Long straights and cramped arenas invert the list.
Open the airframe tier list when you pick a bike. Open the weapon tier list when you pick a kit. Test the pair in the loadout planner.
Airframes in one screen
- Bluntnose — S for most players. Generalist, three boosts, no specialist difficulty star, about half of lobby picks, fifteen of twenty-three presets. Gears near 80 / 110 / 140 / 165 / 190 / 220 / 250 km/h.
- Vector — A for boosters. 1.3x damage taken, five starting boosts, double pickups, ultraboost glide 280–300 km/h. Without boost it sits near 145 km/h.
- Cruiser — A on long race maps. 0.7x damage taken, 200 km/h in about thirty seconds, gear 8 near 305 km/h, poor handling, 1.5-second boost.
- Hopper — A in arenas, B on long straights. 1.6x damage taken, jumpy, 150 km/h around fifty seconds, gear 8 near 205 km/h. Rider weight class matters here.
Side-by-side numbers live in the airframe comparison tool. If throttle still feels foreign, park on Bluntnose and read getting started plus the boosting guide.
Weapons in one screen
Beta 2 published kills-per-minute as history, not gospel: average weapons 0.82, ranged 0.96, rebar fastener 0.46, plasma pistol 2.01. Plasma still burns, but it overheats around eighteen shots and can set the user on fire near fifty. Rebar is the weak ranged pick. Caltrops and EMP grenades are map tools, not default buys. Riot shield occupies the special slot, not melee. Swing timing and dismounts: combat guide.
The rider still matters. Light and Heavy add a difficulty star and change melee and stamina. Hopper punishes Heavy on speed. Cross-check body types and the rider overview before you copy a streamer kit.
Use it with the demo
Download the listed demo, run bots, then a friends lobby (online or split-screen). A Cruiser that looks godlike on a highway is a liability in a garage brawl. Match the vote with the tracks guide and demo notes. When a patch changes coolant or stun, this hub will lag a day — bookmark official links for the notes, then come back for the ranked version.
If you only open one child page, open the airframe list. Bike choice decides whether your boosts and health bar even let the gun matter.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for racers still learning Megacity West.
Is this the launch meta?
No. The full game is coming soon. These ranks describe current betas and the downloadable demo. Recheck updates after each weekend build.
Which list should I open first?
Pick a bike on the airframe tier list, then a kit on the weapon tier list. Test the pair in the loadout planner.
Do these ranks apply to online and split-screen?
Yes. Online PvP, online co-op, and local split-screen use the same airframes and equipment slots. Lobby size and ping change how greedy you can play, not which bike exists.
Why is Bluntnose S if specialists exist?
Bluntnose has no specialist difficulty star, three reliable boosts, and about half of lobby picks. Vector, Cruiser, and Hopper win when the map and the rider match.
Where do I practice a ranked kit?
Download the demo, read demo notes and controls, then run bots before a public lobby.
