Airframe Ultra Build a Rider

Paint, stickers, barks, and shareable .txt files. Only the Rider Suit changes damage.

Airframe Ultra Character Creator

The character creator is where a preset becomes yours: body sliders, hair, clothes, paint, stickers, and up to eight barks. Almost all of it is cosmetic. Exceptions: body type, airframe choice, and the Rider Suit. Parent: riders hub. Bikes: airframe tier list. The full game is coming soon. The downloadable demo already saves customs for online PvP, online co-op, and local split-screen.

Difficulty stars still cap at three: specialist bike, Light or Heavy, no suit. The lobby will see them. Read body types before you chase a Tiny Hopper fashion.

Hair and clothing

Hair is a style plus a base color plus an optional dye. Clothes are optional piece by piece, including helmets. You can ride bare-headed or sealed in a visor; neither changes hurtbox. The only clothing stat is the Rider Suit’s −15% damage taken. Skipping that suit is a star. If a look requires “no suit,” you are paying health for fashion. That is legal. It is also how Vector riders feed plasma. Build the outfit after the suit is on, then strip pieces for screenshots if you want.

Airframe paint: palettes, patterns, stickers

Each custom sets a model (the real choice — confirm it on the airframe comparison tool if you picked Vector because it looked sharp), three color palettes, a pattern (Sport can take a number), and stickers on/off. High-contrast paint is easier for teammates in split-screen and for enemies in online PvP. Stickers off does not make you faster. A gold Cruiser still hits ~305 km/h at gear 8 and still turns like a barge. Paint is not the weapon tier list and does not replace the boosting guide.

Barks

Barks are short in-match lines. You can equip up to eight. Some presets (Yanni, Bandit 99) hold exclusive barks you cannot assign to a custom. If a line is silent, the beta is unfinished, not your file. Use them as calls: boost, wreck, thanks. Getting started and controls still win more races than a perfect taunt.

Saving, sharing, and the .txt folder

Custom riders save as .txt files here:

AppData\LocalLow\Videocult\Airframe\Characters

Any valid character file dropped into that folder loads in-game. Send the text file; do not screenshot the sliders. Rename in the editor to save a new copy so you do not overwrite the one you like. Keep a “try Hopper Light” file and a “serious Bluntnose Standard” file instead of one cursed all-purpose rider.

Share files with people you play. Online co-op and split-screen both read the same folder. If a friend’s custom fails to appear, they put it in the wrong AppData user, or the file is not valid text. Ask in the official Discord linked from official links before you assume the creator deleted the bike.

Do not treat mascot files on random image boards as official unlocks. Bandit 99, The Nuclear Them, Jackrabbit, and Marcus 0743 are unreleased closed-beta mascots. A leaked .txt that claims to be Bandit is either a lookalike custom or a build you should not trust. Wait for updates.

A sane creator order

Airframe first (Bluntnose until the airframe list says otherwise), then body sliders, then Rider Suit on, then hair, clothes, paint, and eight barks. Save as .txt and send the file. Leave the editor. Run the downloadable demo, stash a kit in the loadout planner, and practice a fight in the combat guide. When the closet is done, the track still wants throttle, brake, and a gun you did not drop for a second helmet.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for racers still learning Megacity West.

Is everything in the creator cosmetic?

No. Body sliders, airframe model, and the Rider Suit change damage, moves, and handling. Hair, dye, jackets, palettes, patterns, stickers, and barks do not.

How do I share a custom rider?

Copy the `.txt` from `AppData\LocalLow\Videocult\Airframe\Characters` and send the file. Drop it in the same folder on the other PC. Works for online co-op and split-screen.

Can I put Yanni’s exclusive barks on my custom?

Not in current betas. Some presets and mascots keep exclusive lines. Pick eight generic barks and move on, or ask in the Discord via official links.

Does skipping the Rider Suit do anything besides fashion?

Yes. You lose the −15% damage reduction and gain a difficulty star. Helmets do not replace it. See body types.

Will a sticker pack make Vector handle better?

No. Stickers and palettes are paint. Vector still takes 1.3x damage and still needs the boosting guide.

Are mascot characters in the creator?

Bandit 99, The Nuclear Them, Jackrabbit, and Marcus 0743 are unreleased mascots, not public presets. Build a lookalike if you want the vibe, and watch updates.
