Airframe Ultra Preset Riders
Twenty-three vanilla faces, difficulty stars, and the beta mascots that are not a second roster.
Airframe Ultra ships a SELECT RIDER list, not a hidden fighter roster. There are 23 vanilla presets in current betas. Each has a short bio, a locked body, a locked airframe, and voice lines. Stats still come from body type, airframe choice, and the Rider Suit — not from the name on the helmet. Parent: riders hub. Paint and shareable .txt files: character creator. Bikes: airframe tier list. The full game is coming soon. When a playtest or the listed Steam demo is open, you can download it and run these faces in online PvP, online co-op, and split-screen.
Dumping every bio is filler. Steal a playstyle, then rebuild it in the creator. Difficulty stars cap at three: specialist airframe (everything except Bluntnose), Light or Heavy body, no Rider Suit. Other players see those stars next to your name. They are a warning, not a flex.
Anonymous Rider and the teaching list
Anonymous Rider is the zero-star Bluntnose you should start on. The bio is a shrug: a mysterious new rider entered the race. That is the point. No specialist star, Standard-friendly, three coolant charges, no costume homework. Aiden is the other zero-star Bluntnose and the whole boosting lesson in one line: an airframe runs out of coolant, not boosts. Stay here until throttle and dismount feel boring.
Fifteen of the twenty-three presets sit on Bluntnose. That is not a coincidence. Jamie, Kim, Ray, Rita are zero-star chaos, desert, seawall, and ShopMart flavor on the same generalist bike. Anya (one star, Bluntnose) is the off-bike threat: MMA, dropkick, drone clip. Doris (Cruiser, one star) is the first specialist most players should try. Julia (Hopper, one star, frog bit) if you want jump before speed. Jessica and Morty (Vector, two stars) are vigilante and stolen-airframe lore; boost or feed. Yanni (Hopper, two stars, jawbone legend) and Carl (Bluntnose, two stars, huge) are arena and Heavy-body homework. Esther (Vector, three stars, chatty, poor fighter) and Zane (Hopper, three stars, six brothers, kiddie airframe) are not first-lobby picks. Hao “The Viper,” Lee, Darius, and the rest are flavor on bikes you already understand. Open SELECT RIDER, steal a look, rebuild.
Beta mascots: skins, not a fifth bike
Closed tests used faces as weekend mascots. They are not in the public 23. Trailer stills are not selectable stats. Treat them as promised launch rewards for people who actually played those weekends, not as extra chassis.
Bandit 99 is the Beta 1 face: Cruiser, three stars. Joining that January 2025 closed weekend was the pitch for an exclusive Bandit 99 skin once the full game ships. Exclusive barks on Bandit do not paste onto a custom. A leaked .txt that claims to be Bandit is a lookalike or a file you should not trust.
The Nuclear Them is the Beta 2 mascot: Hopper, two stars. The April 2025 trailer era is how you date that weekend. Night Ride and Quarry were the courses. Hopper’s jump is the lesson, not a secret nuclear stat block.
Jackrabbit is the Beta 3 face: Slabtown mechanic, speed, exclusive beta skin. Official copy put her in the Megashipyards, tuning aerodynamics and boosts, using the track, and leaving the fighting to people who think a pipe is a personality. Ocean Drive entered the same weekend. Two stars. If you want that playstyle in the public 23, ride Vector like Jessica or Morty and learn the glide. Do not expect Jackrabbit as a fifth airframe.
Marcus 0743 is the Beta 4 / Estate face: one star, “a menace both on and off an airframe.” The December 2025 weekend added the mansion and a UI pass. One star means you can copy the vibe without stacking specialist plus Light plus no-suit. Estate interiors still want dismount timing more than a mascot.
Desperada and the shops era
Desperada is the later mascot, tied to the September 2026 Baja / JP-8 / fuel and shops talk rather than a 2025 closed weekend. Fuel, shop prices, and desert-edge racing are the era, not a hidden fourth difficulty star. She is not one of the 23 vanilla presets in the betas this page is based on. Follow Desperada when that write-up lands, and do not write as if you have unlocked her in SELECT RIDER.
Stars, suits, and what to copy
Stars mark self-nerfs. A suited Standard on Bluntnose still beats a three-star Hopper who cannot land a jump. The Rider Suit is −15% damage taken; skipping it is a star. Specialist bikes add a star. Light and Heavy add a star. Standard and Tall do not. Anonymous Rider is the zero-star lesson. Esther and Zane are the three-star exam.
Copy the bike, not the hair. Want Jackrabbit’s speed story? Learn Vector on the airframe list. Want Anya’s off-bike threat? Read body types and actually dismount. Want Bandit’s Cruiser bulk? Take the grounded pull, then rebuild the look in the creator. Online and split-screen load the same files. Share the .txt so the person on the couch is not stuck as Anonymous Rider unless they want to be. The 23 vanilla presets are a catalog. The mascots are weekend posters and promised skins.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for racers still learning Megacity West.
How many preset riders are there?
Twenty-three vanilla presets in current betas. Bandit 99, The Nuclear Them, Jackrabbit, Marcus 0743, and Desperada are mascots, not extra rows in that public list.
Do presets have hidden stats?
Not beyond body type, airframe, suit, and stars. A named Bluntnose is still a Bluntnose. Rebuild it in customization to change the bike.
What do difficulty stars mean?
Up to three: specialist airframe (not Bluntnose), Light or Heavy body, and no Rider Suit. Other players can see them. They mark challenge, not power. See body types.
Who is Jackrabbit?
Beta 3 mascot: Slabtown mechanic, speed-tuned airframe, exclusive beta skin. Two stars. Not one of the 23 public presets. Ocean Drive arrived the same weekend.
Is Bandit 99 in SELECT RIDER?
Not in the public 23. Cruiser, three stars, Beta 1 reward skin promised for people who played that closed weekend. Watch updates rather than downloading random character files.
Where does Desperada fit?
Later mascot around the September 2026 Baja / JP-8 fuel and shops era, not a vanilla preset. Follow Desperada when that page is up.
