Airframe Ultra Five Loadouts You Can Copy

Bike, body, and a four-slot kit for new riders, boosters, long-map bullies, arena jumpers, and Heavy brawlers.

Airframe Ultra Loadout Planner

A loadout in Airframe Ultra is small on purpose: one airframe, one body, one melee, one ranged, one throwable, one special. This planner is a static list of five kits testers ran — not a randomizer and not a cheat. Copy one into the creator, then fight it online or in split-screen. The game is still coming soon, so item names can shift; the roles should not.

If you have not picked a bike yet, read Compare Airframes first. Tiers sit on airframe tier and weapons tier. See also combat, boosting, and body types.

Beginner rec: Bluntnose + Standard + Rider Suit + pipe or bat + shotgun or SMG. Start there unless you have a reason.

Slot rules

  • Melee is your dismount identity. Bat is fast and short. Pipe is slower and hates tight footwork but sings when you stay mounted and hold a lane.
  • Ranged is pressure. Shotgun ends people who share your floor. SMG sprays, dumps a huge mag, and forgives panic.
  • Throwable is space control. Do not bat-pitch a molotov unless you like exploding yourself.
  • Special is the weird slot (shield, saw, sign, beam cutter). Pick one job: survive the arena, or delete someone who survived it.

You do not get two guns or two melee weapons. If a kit lists “shotgun or SMG,” that is a choice inside the ranged slot.

1. Beginner Bluntnose

  • Airframe: Bluntnose (generalist, 3 boosts, 1.0x damage taken)
  • Body: Standard
  • Suit: Rider Suit
  • Melee: pipe or bat
  • Ranged: shotgun or SMG
  • Throwable: a grenade you will actually throw
  • Special: a shield if you eat shotgun, cheap utility if you do not

Why: Bluntnose is the default. Beta 4 pick rates sat near 50% and the developers said they were fine with that. Standard body does not add a difficulty star. Take pipe if you stay mounted; take bat if you dismount. Take shotgun if you understand arenas; take SMG if you miss. This kit is for Getting Started riders on any track. Graduate when you can name a problem Bluntnose cannot solve.

2. Vector booster

  • Airframe: Vector (5 boosts, 1.3x damage taken, ultraboost)
  • Body: Standard or Light
  • Melee: pipe for mounted swipes, bat if you bail often
  • Ranged: SMG for drive-by spray; shotgun only if you stop to aim
  • Throwable: something you can drop on a boost line
  • Special: mobility or escape. Vector already dies if people look at it.

Why: Vector is the boost bike. Five coolant shots, a violent burst, and an ultraboost when you glide close to a surface. You take 30% more damage, and handling gets worse as the frame gets hurt. Read boosting first. Spend coolant on position. If you cannot ultraboost yet, stay on beginner Bluntnose.

3. Cruiser bully

  • Airframe: Cruiser (0.7x damage taken, high top speed, poor handling)
  • Body: Standard or Heavy. Heavy is the bully read; Standard is easier to steer.
  • Melee: pipe. You are a moving gate. Bat is a downgrade unless you race on foot.
  • Ranged: shotgun. You are huge; people will be close whether you like it or not.
  • Throwable: grenades into chokes and Estate doors, not across open Quarry.
  • Special: a shield or other survive tool. Lean into the tank, do not pretend you are Hopper.

Why: Cruiser wants long maps: Oceandrive, Nightride, open Quarry. Top speed does the work; boosts are a shove. Handling is poor and the nose is heavy, so brake before hairpins. In arenas, slow down on purpose or the bulk gets stuck. Beta 4 pick rate was about 11%. If you bounce off walls, you need controls practice, not a different gun.

4. Hopper arena

  • Airframe: Hopper (1.6x damage taken, jumpy, sharp handling, weak top-end)
  • Body: Light for the jump kit; Standard if Light’s tax stacks too hard with 1.6x
  • Melee: bat. You are off the bike constantly.
  • Ranged: shotgun. Hopper lives in faces.
  • Throwable: grenades or other short-fuse chaos for arena floors
  • Special: burst damage or a get-off-me tool. You will be shot; the rider sits more exposed on a small frame.

Why: Hopper is the arena specialist. High jump, snap turns, miserable long-race speed. You take 60% more damage, so do not dry-boost for fun. Warehouse, Estate yard, and the pits in combat are the job. On Oceandrive you are a passenger unless the lobby votes arenas. Heavy-on-Hopper is a trap.

5. Heavy brawler

  • Airframe: Bluntnose (stable) or Cruiser (if you already steer it)
  • Body: Heavy
  • Melee: pipe if you still ride, bat if you commit to fists
  • Ranged: shotgun. SMG is a worse fit; you are not a spray-and-strafe Light.
  • Throwable: grenades into the pile you are walking toward
  • Special: melee-adjacent (saw, heavy sign, slow swings)

Why: Heavy hits harder in melee, eats less damage, and pays with stamina, trips, slower swings, and a fat hurtbox. Play like a mid-pack rider who wins the arena leg. Hopper plus Heavy is a trap; Vector plus Heavy is worse. Read body types so you know which kicks you do not have.

How to swap without throwing the circuit

Change one slot after a three-race circuit, not four. Bike swaps belong on the compare page, not in the 15 seconds before voting locks. These kits work online and on the couch.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for racers still learning Megacity West.

What is the best beginner loadout?

Bluntnose, Standard body, Rider Suit, pipe or bat, and shotgun or SMG. That is the tester-friendly default. Stay on it until you can explain why you need Vector, Cruiser, or Hopper.

How many item slots does a loadout have?

Four combat slots: one melee, one ranged, one throwable, one special. Airframe and body sit on top of that. You do not dual-wield guns or carry two melee weapons.

Should I pick Vector first because it has five boosts?

No. Vector takes 1.3x damage and wants ultraboost skill. If you cannot hold a Bluntnose line, five coolant shots will only get you to the wall faster.

Is the Heavy brawler kit for racing or for arenas?

Arenas and dismount fights. Heavy is slower and trips more. Pair it with Bluntnose or Cruiser, not Hopper, and expect to win brawl points more often than pure race legs.

Do these kits work in online and split-screen?

Yes. Both modes use the same creator loadout. Online circuits of three races are the harder test because you cannot pause the argument.

Where do I see which bike matches which kit?

Use Compare Airframes for the four-bike table and decision flow, then come back here for the weapon trio. Airframe and weapon tiers add the opinion layer on top.
